In January 2012, the Good Lord brought me to ATX to begin a brand new chapter. In my 15 months there, I was able to record these 7 tracks about my spiritual trials and journey, my favorite video game, the streets of a city that I have come to know and love, and a sexy señorita.

Over 10+ albums I've almost never kept my name the same. It's a representation of how my music is always changing and improving. This has never been more true and prevalent than in this album. My engineering and mixing skills have never been more on point and my lyrics and subjects have never been more spiritually focused. Therefore I had to change my name up again. This time it's Mateus.

Being the Catalan and/or Portuguese version of my birth name, its meaning is more wrapped in the rhyme association it has with the Portuguese word for God - Deus. I'm not at all saying I'm God. Trust, I'm just another dude like you. Rather it reminds me that I'm a changed man through what God has done through me. Imagine what He can do through you!

Promise I'll try to out put an LP next time around, but untiI then, I hope you enjoy this EP. Mostly I hope you apply the messages you hear into practice. My wish is that you would be inspired, challenged, and never the same, in a good way. The main themes I want you to walk away with are - change your heart and mind for the better - exercise your faith in God - and - don't be scared to give everything this world has to offer up to live your life to the fullest and write a better story. Do your best to work these into your daily life for best results.

I'm off to go live my life. Praise be to the Most High God! One love in Christ Jesus to my brothers and sisters in the four corners.
