The original Los Amigos de Mateo (Me, C-Dubbery, Sherm, and Whales) found ourselves in Abbeywood Studios one afternoon in February of 2009. Whales had brought over his MacBook with ProTools. He drafted up a simple chorus that I ended up singing. Sherm threw down the acoustic and Whales spit the flows. Later that night, we had another signature Amigos jam!
"Haphguey Thair" is about being halfway to reaching your goal. Sometimes even though you've come a long way you still can't see the end. You have to stop, smell the roses, and enjoy just being halfway on the journey to where you're going. Too many people get down thinking about all they have left, but we know that it really means that you've already won half the battle!
