"La Bandita" was a Christmas gift. I whipped it up with nothing more than the built in mic on my MacBook, a guitar, marracas, and a güiro. Two hours later I had the most upbeat and sexy song on the whole album!
Originally la bandita was a girl that stole my heart in a good way. But "Things Fall Apart" as my brother Black Thought puts it. What's interesting is that if you speak Spanish, you will notice I mess up the future tense conjugation of tener at the end of the first verse. I never even noticed until my relationship with la bandita had ended. It's as if God were foreshadowing that we wouldn't be together after all!
