Sitting with "2 feet in the sand" one day in Viña, I realized that I had "never been here to stay." My journey in Chile taught me a lot, the details of which are splattered throughout the 16 bar opener. The good and the bad make up this verse and what was a life changing experience in South America.

I have to share how I created the loop, because you would never guess. It's not a guitar, at least not a real one. While playing with a tuner app on my phone, I came up with this progression and recorded it straight off the phone. It turned out to be the cleanest cut on the album.
